“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

At South Grove, we believe that the Bible calls us to be cheerful givers, and bring our tithes and offerings as worship to God. We follow the principle of tithing, or giving a tenth of our income back to God as our first and best worship to him.

Giving is done with the understanding of God's great provision for us, acknowledging that we live in total dependence on Him for all that we have.

Offerings are given above and beyond the Biblical principle of the tithe and are brought as worship to God to further support His mission through the church.

Some may ask the question, 'Am I expected to give?' If you're just visiting South Grove Church, please simply drop your welcome card in as your offering. You are our guest! It's the responsibility and joy of those who are committed to South Grove to give to support the mission of the church. At South Grove, you are free to give during the offering at our Sunday service.

HOW TO GIVE

  • Pay with a check in person

    You can simply write a check and give when the offering is taken after worship during our Sunday services or by mailing it in to the South Grove office.

  • Online Bill-Pay

    Instead of bringing a check each Sunday, you can use your bank’s online bill-pay system which allows your bank to mail a check directly to South Grove. To set up bill-pay, you should select the “pay an individual” option or set up a new payee. Here is the information your bank might require to set up bill-pay:

    • Name (Payee Name): South Grove Church

    • Address (Payee Address): 1860 Barnett Shoals Rd, Ste 103-452, Athens, GA 30605

    If there is space to write a note or message, you can indicate whether it’s a tithe or offering.

    If you need more help, contact your bank to help get set up.

  • Online with Tithe.ly

    The last option is giving through Tithe.ly. This is a convenient way to give your tithe, but there is a small fee associated with the transaction. To be sure all of your tithe goes to God through the local church it is being given, Tithe.ly has added a small check-box which allows the giver to cover the convenience fee.
